The Haunted Legend
Built in 1808, Gibraltar Point Lighthouse is one of Canada’s oldest surviving lighthouses.
According to local legend, its first keeper, John Paul Radelmüller, vanished mysteriously in January 1815. Stories of unexplained footsteps, strange lights and a shadowy figure have surrounded the lighthouse ever since.
Under ordinary lighting, the coin depicts the historic lighthouse beneath a stormy sky. Shine the included black-light flashlight on the design, and a hidden ghostly figure appears!
