The one cent piece has the same obverse as the British halfpenny and a reverse similar to that of the one used for Nova Scotia. The designs for the five cent piece were basically those of the Province of Canada with a modified obverse legend. The ten cent piece was adapted from that of the Province of Canada with the legend on the obverse the only change.
