Description:
The 2005 Canadian “Victory” 5-cent coin was issued to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II (Victory in Europe – VE Day, 1945–2005).
It revives the famous “V for Victory” design first seen on the 1943–45 wartime nickels, symbolizing Canada’s industrial strength and unity during WWII.
This modern tribute features the same large “V” and torch design surrounded by Morse code, which reads “We Win When We Work Willingly.”
